My hb came low in last report and doc said i need to bring it up before delivery. Im in 8th month now so thoda worried about time. What foods actually worked for you all to raise it?
Yaar, don't stress too much, 8th month me hemoglobin thoda drop hona normal hai kyunki blood volume badhta hai. Just start eating pomegranates and beetroot daily. Aur doctor ne jo iron tablets di hain na, vo roz time pe khao, sab normal ho jayega!
I've heard from elders that eating dates, sesame seeds, and green veggies helps a lot with blood levels. My sister was also advised to cook in iron pans during her third trimester. I hope your levels improve soon, please take care of yourself.
I know how hard it is to eat iron-rich foods like spinach or beetroot when you already feel like throwing up. What worked for me was apple and beetroot juice with a dash of lemon—the vitamin C helps absorb iron better. If you can't stomach it, just ask your doctor for a different iron tablet that doesn't cause nausea.
My doctor told me that only eating iron-rich food like spinach and apples isn't enough in the 8th month because baby's demand is very high. She explained that we must take iron supplements with Vitamin C (like lemon water) and avoid tea/coffee around that time as it blocks iron absorption. Definitely get a re-test done in two weeks.
Beta, anar ka juice aur chukandar (beetroot) khana shuru karo, hemoglobin jaldi badhega. Din me thoda palak ka soup bhi piya karo. Lekin dhyan rakhna, apne doctor ki di hui iron ki goli bilkul miss mat karna abhi.
I faced the exact same thing in my 8th month and my hemoglobin was quite low. I kept taking my prescribed iron tablets and ate a bowl of black raisins soaked overnight daily. It really helped me build up my strength, which was so useful later during delivery and breastfeeding.
Please be very careful about your hemoglobin levels at this stage, as 8th month is highly crucial. I always suggest checking with your doctor immediately if it's very low, so they can adjust your iron dosage or suggest IV iron if needed. Eat clean, healthy foods like spinach and dates to support your body safely.
