How to increase hemoglobin level naturally during pregnancy?
My hb came out low in the report and doc wants me to bring it up. I prefer doing it through food first if possible. What all did u guys eat that actually helped? im 20 weeks.
Low hemoglobin can be very scary, and we always want to do our best for the baby. You can try having beetroot-carrot juice or pomegranate daily, but please do not ignore the iron supplements prescribed by your doctor. We have to be very careful to keep baby safe.
Beta, aap rooz khajur (dates) khaya karo aur palak ki sabji khaya karo, isse khoon bahut jaldi badhta hai. Lohe ki kadhai (iron wok) me khana banana bhi accha hota hai. Saath me doctor ki di hui lal goli (iron tablets) bhi zaroor lena.
I tracked my diet on my health app and realized my iron intake was very low. I started eating soaked black raisins, dates, and beetroot juice daily. Within a month, my Hb went up from 9.5 to 11! Just log your meals to ensure you are getting enough iron.
Natural diet is great, but honestly, food alone is sometimes not enough to meet the high iron demands of pregnancy. Definitely eat spinach, pomegranate, and dates, but don't skip your iron tablets. Always take them with lemon water for better absorption, not with tea or milk.
The best way is to add dates, beetroot, and green leafy vegetables to your daily diet. Also, eat amla or citrus fruits because vitamin C helps your body absorb the iron much better. It's a very simple and cheap trick that worked wonders for me!
My Hb was always on the lower side due to my history of irregular cycles and PCOS. I improved it gently by eating roasted chana with jaggery (gur) and fresh beetroot salad. Just don't overdo any single remedy and keep checking your levels with your doctor.
