Im in my third trimester now and thinking ahead to feeding. Heard some foods help build supply early. Anyone started anything during pregnancy itself for this?
I stressed about this so much while pregnant and it was unnecessary, it really starts properly once you hold and feed your baby. Feeding on demand and skin to skin made my supply pick up. Be kind to yourself.
Beta milk increases after baby comes. We give methi, ajwain, gond laddoo, saunf water after delivery to help supply. During pregnancy just eat well. And ask your doctor before adding too many things.
Milk really comes after delivery, not during pregnancy, so dont worry if you dont see much now. Some leaking colostrum in last months is normal. Focus on good food and hydration, the supply builds once baby starts feeding.
You actually dont need to do much during pregnancy for milk, it ramps up after birth. The biggest thing later is feeding frequently and staying well fed and hydrated. Trust me supply follows demand.
