My last report showed platelets on the lower side and gynac told me to keep an eye on it. Im 28 weeks now and a bit tense about it. Are there any foods or things that help bring it up naturally? pls share if u went through this.
I won't pretend to know the medical side, but I'd say don't self treat this. Eat well, papaya leaf and all people suggest but please ask your doctor first before anything. Platelet levels need proper monitoring.
Low platelets in pregnancy really should be managed by your doctor, please don't try to fix it only with home stuff. Mine were low and the gynac monitored it closely with regular blood tests. Follow their plan strictly.
My doctor said a slight drop in platelets is common in pregnancy and often doesn't need treatment, just monitoring. She suggested iron rich and folate rich food along with my supplements. But the level decides everything, so go by your reports.
Family will tell you papaya leaf juice and all, but kindly check with your doctor before taking such things in pregnancy. Good nutritious food and your prescribed supplements with proper monitoring is the safe way, ma.
Eating well helps generally, green veggies, dals, fruits, staying hydrated. But platelets in pregnancy is a doctor matter, not a kitchen fix. Get the count checked and let them decide if anything more is needed.
