My last report showed my haemoglobin is on lower side and im 5 months pregnant. Gynac has started something but i also want to know what foods help. Pls share what worked for u.
My gynac said hemoglobin and RBC go up with iron, folate and B12, so leafy greens, beetroot, dals and the prescribed supplements all matter. She told me to take iron with a little lemon water, not with tea or milk. Get your levels checked regularly so they can adjust the dose.
Iron rich foods like spinach, dates, jaggery and rajma helped my counts, and vitamin C foods help absorption. Since I had to watch sugar too, I balanced the dates carefully. Pair it with your prescribed iron and folic acid, dont skip those.
Beta, in our time we relied on beetroot, anar juice and gud. They really do help build blood. But do also take whatever iron tablet the doctor gives, the home foods are a support not a replacement.
