My BP was slightly on the higher side at last checkup and doc told me to watch it. Im 28 weeks now. Apart from medicines what small things help keep it normal, diet or rest? a bit tensed so any tips welcome.
Please take blood pressure very seriously as high BP can lead to preeclampsia, which is dangerous. If you feel dizzy, have severe headaches, or see blurry spots, contact your gynac immediately. Never self-medicate for BP.
Keeping BP normal requires a low-sodium diet and some light daily walking, but only if your doctor has allowed it. Don't push yourself too hard and keep tracking your readings regularly.
I'm planning to conceive soon and worrying about how to manage my BP. Is it enough to just reduce salt, or do we need special lifestyle changes? I'll definitely discuss this with my doctor during the pre-conception checkup.
Drinking coconut water and eating fresh fruits can help keep you relaxed and balance your pressure. But please remember, if you have sudden swelling in hands or face, or feel dizzy, skip the home tips and see your doctor right away.
