It's such a beautiful way to bond with your little one. But if you ever feel anxious about fewer kicks, don't hesitate to check with your doctor, your peace of mind is so important.
I just delivered last month! I used to lie on my left side after lunch, drink cold water, and count. You should get at least 10 kicks in 2 hours, if not, call your doctor.
I used to sit quietly after my evening walk (which my doctor allowed) and count the kicks. If you feel any sudden change or less movement, stop everything and call your gynac.
Please count daily after 28 weeks, usually looking for 10 movements in 2 hours after a meal. If you ever feel the movements have decreased, please contact your gynac immediately without waiting.
I'm in my second trimester and just started feeling tiny flutters, is it too early to count? How do you guys track it, does the baby move at the same time every day?
Along with tracking my thyroid levels, my doctor made me do kick counts every evening after dinner. If you notice any drop in counts, follow up with your doctor right away.
