Im 33 weeks and noticing some wetness on and off, cant figure out if its just discharge or pee or something more. Honestly thoda scared hu because i dont want to ignore it. Planning to call my gynac but how did u all tell the difference?
Unlike regular vaginal discharge, amniotic fluid is completely watery and has a sweetish or no smell. If you suspect any leaking, please contact your gynac immediately as it requires urgent medical checkup.
Listen to me, if you feel a continuous trickle or a sudden gush of clear, odorless fluid that doesn't stop, it could be water leaking. Please call your gynac immediately and head to the hospital, don't wait at home.
If you are unsure, put on a dry panty liner or pad and lie down for 30 minutes. If the pad gets wet with clear fluid when you stand up, it is likely water leaking, so go to the hospital right away.
Please don't worry, but if you feel any continuous wetness, it is best to go to your clinic. Your doctor will quickly check and ensure both you and the baby are safe.
Amniotic fluid is watery, clear, and you cannot control it like urine. Since water leaking is a serious sign, please wear a clean pad and visit your doctor or hospital immediately to get checked.
