Just found out im pregnant and im so curious to figure out the exact day it happened. My periods are a bit irregular so im confused. Is there any way to actually know or is it just guesswork?
You cant really know the exact day yaar, conception usually happens around ovulation which is mid cycle. The dating scan in first trimester gives the closest estimate, just go by that.
Honestly it's hard to pin the exact day. Doctors usually count from your last period date, not conception. I used a tracker app and it gave an estimated date but the real confirmation comes from your dating scan.
My doctor explained that conception roughly happens around ovulation, about 2 weeks after your period starts in a normal cycle. The early ultrasound measures baby size and corrects the dates, so that scan is your best answer.
I was confused about this too! My gynac said they calculate due date from last period, so the conception day is mostly a guess unless you tracked ovulation. Did anyone else find out exactly?
