Twins run in my family on my mom's side and ive been wondering since the start. Im 7 weeks, first scan is next week. Are there early signs that show it or only the ultrasound can tell? so curious now.
The only real way to know is the ultrasound, thats how I found out about my two. The scan picks it up early, usually first trimester. Everything else like extra big belly or more nausea is just guessing, the scan is the truth.
Scan, plain and simple. Dont go by belly size or symptoms, those vary for everyone. Your first ultrasound will clearly show one or two sacs, so just wait for that appointment.

My doctor said the ultrasound confirms it, and sometimes higher than usual hcg levels can be a hint too. Some women have stronger nausea or show bigger early, but those arent reliable. The dating scan is what gives the clear answer.
