My delivery was a few months ago, and I'm eager to get back in shape. What are some effective and safe ways to lose belly fat after pregnancy? I want to feel good about myself again.
Honestly I just delivered 2 months back and my tummy still looks 5 months pregnant lol. My gynac told me to wait till 6 weeks for light walking, so right now I am only doing basic walks and wearing a maternity belt sometimes. Don't rush it, your body took 9 months to grow so give it time.
Listen, please do not go on any crazy diets right now, you need strength to look after the baby. Just focus on eating healthy warm food and drink warm water throughout the day. The weight will go slowly, just enjoy this time with your little one.
Actually I am also planning for my first baby soon and this is my biggest fear! Everyone says losing tummy fat is so hard post-delivery. Please do share what worked for you guys so I can prepare myself.
I completely understand how stressful this feels, I used to cry looking at my stomach in the mirror. But please be gentle with yourself. For me, nursing helped a bit and just eating simple ghar ka khana without extra ghee, but it took almost a year to feel normal.
Managing a job and baby leaves no time for the gym anyway, so I had to be practical. I started portion control and took the baby out in the stroller for 30 min daily walks. It's a slow process but daily small habits are much easier to stick to.
