My bp has been on the higher side last two checkups and gynac is keeping an eye on it. I dont want to start anything heavy yet, just wondering if diet or some lifestyle changes actually help. Anyone managed to bring it down naturally?
Please dont take bp lightly during pregnancy. Mine started creeping up around 30 weeks and doctor monitored it very closely. Natural things like rest and less salt help but bp in pregnancy is one thing where u really need ur doctor watching it.
My amma always said stay calm and dont overthink, stress also raises bp na. I did some slow breathing and proper sleep. Still I never skipped my checkups, because pressure ka thoda bhi upar neeche ho to doctor hi sahi batayega.
Natural steps like reducing sodium, staying hydrated and resting do help, but pregnancy bp is not something to self manage fully. Keep a home monitor if doctor suggests and share readings at every visit. Doctor guidance is really the safest here.
Light walking and the prenatal yoga my doctor cleared for me kept things steady. Nothing intense haan, just gentle. Drink enough water also. But check with ur gynac before starting any movement, especially with bp.
First thing, cut down on extra salt yaar, all the pickle and packet stuff. I used to walk slowly every evening and that helped me a lot in my second pregnancy. But honestly if ur bp is on higher side dont try to manage only at home, let gynac decide.
