My recent report came and tsh is a bit on the higher side, my gynac has noted it and i'll discuss in next visit. Apart from the meds she gives, did any diet or routine changes help u bring it down? Just want to do my part also.
I had high TSH in pregnancy. The thing is u cant really lower it on ur own with food, my doc adjusted my medicine dose and we tested every few weeks. Pls go by ur doctors guidance only, thyroid in pregnancy needs proper monitoring.
My endo told me TSH targets are tighter in pregnancy, so they usually tweak the thyroid tablet. Taking it empty stomach in the morning, away from iron and calcium, helped it absorb better. But dose decisions are fully ur doctors call.
This one really shouldnt be a self treatment thing. TSH needs the right medicine and dose set by ur doctor, and regular blood tests. Mine was checked monthly. Please dont rely on home tricks for this.
There's no quick home fix for TSH, it's managed with medication and follow up tests. I'd say get retested as ur doctor advises and let them adjust. Thyroid in pregnancy is important to keep in range for baby too.
