Im 28 weeks and my doc said babys weight is slightly on the lower side, asked me to focus on diet. now im a little worried and want to make sure baby gains properly. what all did you eat to help? pls share ur experience.
If you mean keeping baby's weight in a healthy range, the doc and dietician guided me, especially because of my sugar issue. Controlled sugar, enough protein, regular monitoring. Please dont try to control it with random diets, let the doctor steer it.
My doctor said daily walking and approved prenatal yoga keep both me and baby in a healthy range, along with proper meals. Movement plus balanced eating worked for me. But only do exercises your gynac has cleared.
Eat balanced and protein rich, dont starve and dont overeat sweets, stay lightly active. The baby's weight mostly sorts itself with good nutrition and your scans tracking growth. Both my babies were healthy weight just doing this.
Honestly the best 'maintenance' is just regular antenatal visits, the doctor checks if baby is growing well and tells you if anything needs tweaking in diet. Good food, water, light activity and not skipping checkups does it.
Beta dont overthink it. Simple home food, dal sabzi roti, milk, fruits, and your doctor's tablets. My mummy said eat with love not in fear, baby grows just right. Go for all your checkups, thats the main thing.
