How to maintain weight during pregnancy first trimester?
9 weeks now and with all the nausea I can barely eat properly, some days I feel like im even losing weight instead of gaining. Not sure if this is okay so early. How did you all manage your weight in the starting months?
My gynac said weight gain in the first trimester should be minimal, like 1-2 kg only. She told me to focus on protein and folate rich food, not calories. Regular walks helped me too once she allowed.
Because of my sugar issues I was careful, so I avoided extra sweets and fried stuff and chose fruits, dal, eggs. But please dont diet in pregnancy, just eat balanced. My doctor and a dietician guided my plan.
First trimester most of us hardly gain, I actually lost a little because of nausea. I focused on eating small frequent meals rather than counting weight. Doc said dont obsess over the scale this early.
