At my last checkup the baby's weight was on the lower side and now im a bit worried. Im 7 months along. What should i eat so the baby gains good weight? Pls share what worked for u.
Just a small caution here, more food doesnt simply equal a healthier baby, and overdoing sweets can backfire, I learnt that with my GD. Focus on protein, dairy and balanced meals, and let your doctor track baby's growth on scans. That's the right way.
Beta in our time we gave dryfruits, milk, ghee in moderation and good homemade food, that helps the baby grow. But dont overdo ghee or sweets. Eat well and let the doctor check the baby's weight at scans.
Ma, our elders always said good home food and milk help baby grow nicely, and I did follow that. But I never overate. Your doctor watches the baby's weight in scans, so trust that and just eat healthy with love.
A baby's weight depends on many things, not just how much you eat. A balanced, protein rich diet and regular growth scans are the sensible approach. If the doctor ever says baby is small, she'll guide you specifically. Otherwise dont stress over chubbiness.
You cant force a chubby baby, but eating a good balanced diet with enough protein, milk, fruits and not skipping meals helps baby grow well. My second was bigger and I think eating properly and regular checkups helped. Dont overeat though, just eat well.
