My MIL keeps telling me to eat saffron and coconut so baby comes out fair. I dont really believe it but everyone in ghar keeps insisting. Does any of this actually work or its just a myth?
During my pregnancy, people kept telling me to drink saffron milk (kesar doodh) to make my baby fair-skinned. I drank it because I liked the taste, but my baby was born with the exact same beautiful dusky skin tone as me and my husband!
I used to worry about all these myths and what people would say, but trust me, it is completely normal and natural for babies to inherit their parents' genes. Skin color doesn't matter at all once you hold your healthy baby in your arms.
Beta, baby's color is natural and decided by God. Drinking saffron milk or coconut water is good for your health and digestion, but it won't change the skin color. Just eat well, stay happy, and pray for a healthy child.
Honestly, a baby's skin tone depends entirely on genetics, and there's no way or medicine to change it. Because of my PCOS, my only prayer was to have a healthy, safe pregnancy and a healthy baby, which is all that truly matters in the end.
Haha, unless you have some magical paint, genetics is going to do its job! No amount of kesar or coconut is going to change the DNA. Just relax, eat what you like, and get ready for a cute little mix of you and your husband!
Oh, please don't get caught up in these fair skin expectations! When you see your baby for the first time, those tiny fingers and toes, you will realize they are absolutely perfect just the way they are. Focus on your health and cherish this beautiful phase.
