How to make belly button go back in after pregnancy?
Delivered 2 months back and my belly button is still poking out, it went all outie during pregnancy. Will it go back on its own ya i need to do something? Anyone whose came back to normal?
With twins, my belly button popped out so far it looked like a doorbell, haha! Honestly, it takes time for the abdominal muscles to shrink back after birth, so give it at least 3 to 6 months. Don't rush into heavy exercises, let your body heal naturally first.
I completely panicked when my belly button stayed popped out even 2 months after delivery, and I thought it would stay like that forever. But actually, as my uterus shrank and my abdominal muscles healed, it went back to normal on its own by the 4th month. Just be patient, it will go back!
Your belly button pops out because of the pressure from your growing uterus stretching the abdominal wall. After delivery, it takes about 6-8 weeks for the uterus to shrink back, and the button usually goes back in naturally. If it hurts or stays out after 6 months, ask your doctor to check for a mild hernia or diastasis recti.
I completely understand how stressful it is when your body changes so much and doesn't look the same after delivery, it can really affect your confidence. Please don't stress, it is totally normal for the belly button to take a few months to go back inside as your muscles heal. Just be gentle with yourself, you did an amazing job bringing a life into this world.
I am in my 3rd trimester now and mine has popped out so much it rubs against all my clothes, it's so annoying! From what my friends tell me, there's nothing you can do right now to push it back. We just have to wait for the baby to come out and let gravity do its job later, haha!
