Everyone in my ghar keeps telling me to drink kesar milk for the baby. I have no idea how much saffron to put or when to drink it. Pls share how u make it, thoda confused about the right way.
Oh, kesar doodh is lovely! Just take warm milk, add 2-3 strands of good quality kesar (don't overdo it), and a little sugar if you like. You can also put a bit of elaichi. Just remember to use pasteurised milk, and wash your hands well before preparing it.
Haan, I'm thinking of starting kesar milk soon too! My mum said just a few strands in warm milk, maybe with some crushed almonds. Are you planning to drink it daily or just sometimes?
Saffron milk is quite popular, no? Generally, you just warm up milk, add a few strands of saffron and a pinch of cardamom, maybe some dry fruits. But for pregnancy, it's always good to ask your doc if there's any specific limit on saffron or any other ingredients.
During my pregnancy, I used to have it sometimes. My mom would just warm up cow's milk, add 3-4 strands of kesar, and sometimes a few soaked badam. It felt very soothing, especially at night.
