Im in my second trimester and just not feeling like eating heavy food, soup feels easier on my stomach. Want to make something at home with veggies thats actually filling and good for baby. Anyone has a simple recipe they made during pregnancy? pls share.
Use whatever seasonal veggies are cheap, no need for fancy ones. A basic mixed veg soup gives good nutrition without spending much. Homemade is way better than packet soups too.
I kept it quick, threw mixed veggies in a pressure cooker with water, then a dash of pepper and salt. Done in 15 min and very nourishing. Make a big batch and refrigerate for two days max.
I made a simple soup with carrot, beans, spinach and a little garlic, very comforting in pregnancy. Just boil the veggies soft, blend lightly and season mild. My mother said keep it fresh and warm, and it was so soothing.
