First time pregnant, just entered 2nd trimester and I really want to do everything right for my baby. Diet, sleep, walks, whatever helps. What did you mommas focus on the most?
Apart from good diet, gentle movement helped me feel great, i did daily walks and prenatal yoga but only after my gynac okayed it. Staying active, hydrated and stress free does a lot for baby. Always clear any exercise with ur doctor first though.
Eat proper home food with protein, fruits, veggies and dairy, take ur folic acid and iron as prescribed, and dont skip checkups. Both my pregnancies i kept it simple, good food, decent rest, light walking. No need to overcomplicate it.
You dont need expensive superfoods for a healthy baby. Simple dal, sabzi, eggs, seasonal fruits, milk and ur prescribed iron and folic acid do the job. Just dont miss the routine scans and checkups, those are the important spends.
Along with healthy eating and rest, i really feel staying calm and positive matters for baby too. I prayed, listened to nice music and kept my mind peaceful. Take ur supplements, eat well and keep ur heart happy.
My mother fed me lots of home cooked food, greens and ragi, which i loved. But the real basics are balanced diet, your supplements, rest and regular doctor visits. Old wisdom plus modern checkups together worked well for me.
