My sugar came high in the test around 26 weeks and they said its gestational diabetes. Im honestly stressed about what to eat now and how to keep it in control without harming baby. Mommies who went through this, pls share how u managed.
I managed it alongside work by prepping simple meals and keeping healthy snacks at my desk. Walking after lunch helped my numbers a lot. It needs discipline but it is doable, just follow your doctor's diet chart closely.
My doctor stressed regular monitoring of blood sugar, a controlled diet and gentle activity if allowed. In some cases she said medication is needed and that is normal. The key was sticking to the plan and never skipping check ups.
I had gestational diabetes and managing it was all about diet, portions and timing. I ate small frequent meals, cut sugar and white rice, and checked my levels as told. My doctor and a dietician guided every step, please dont self manage this one.
Please take this seriously and stay in close touch with your doctor. Mine monitored me closely and that made all the difference. Diet plus regular testing plus following medical advice is the safe way, no shortcuts here.
