i used to get migraines before but now in pregnancy they feel worse and i cant just pop my usual tablet. first trimester and these headaches are knocking me out. how did u all cope without much medicine?
First thing, please don't pop your usual painkiller, many aren't safe in pregnancy. Tell your gynac about the migraines, they'll suggest what's okay. Sudden severe headache with swelling or vision issues, that needs immediate checking, don't ignore it.
Migraines hit me harder while pregnant and working. What actually helped, regular small meals, water bottle always on my desk, and stepping away from the screen. I asked my doc which painkiller is safe and kept only that. Don't push through, rest when it starts.
Beta rest in a dark room, a cold cloth on the forehead and a head massage with mild oil can soothe it. Keep yourself hydrated and don't stay hungry. But for medicine you must ask your doctor, nothing on your own.
Ugh migraines are the worst yaar. Dark room, water, a little nap and a cold pack got me through. Just please run any tablet past your gynac first. And don't stress, hormones make them worse so try to relax.
I tracked my migraines and noticed skipping meals and dehydration set them off. Fixing that, plus rest in a dark quiet room and a cold compress, helped a lot. For meds, only what my gynac approved. Don't self medicate.
My doctor said for pregnancy migraines, manage triggers first, enough sleep, regular meals, water, and avoiding bright screens. She allowed a specific safe medicine only when needed. The key thing she warned, a bad new headache with high BP must be reported right away.
