Im in my third trimester now and few people told me massaging helps prepare for breastfeeding later. But i honestly dont know the right way to do it without hurting myself. Can someone who has done it guide me a little?
Beta thoda sa naariyal tel laga ke halke haath se karo, skin soft rehti hai aur stretch marks me bhi aaram. Zor se bilkul mat karo. Anything more than gentle, doctor se pooch lena.
Keep it very gentle, just soft circular strokes with light oil or moisturiser, mostly to ease soreness and dry skin. Avoid pressing the nipple area hard, specially in later months. I did it lightly after a warm shower and it felt nice.
One thing to keep in mind, too much nipple stimulation can sometimes trigger contractions, so be careful especially later in pregnancy. If you have any concern or history of early labour, ask your gynac before doing it.
Honestly nothing fancy needed. Soft hands, coconut oil, gentle circles to help with the heaviness and stretch marks. Dont do any strong nipple stimulation though, specially if your doctor hasnt told you to. Keep it simple.
When my breasts felt so tender and heavy i started doing soft massage with a mild oil and i felt much more comfortable. Nothing rough at all, just light and caring. It also helped me feel a bit more connected to the whole thing honestly.
