We have been trying casually for 3 months but now I want to track properly. My periods are mostly regular but I dont know if we are timing it right. What helped you understand your fertile days?
Eat well, sleep well, keep stress low and time it around ovulation. Give it a few honest months before worrying. For most couples it just takes a little patience.
With my PCOS my cycles were irregular so finding ovulation was tricky. Ovulation kits helped me figure timing. If your periods are irregular, do see a gynac, dont keep guessing for months.
We are trying too. I read that being regular through the cycle, not just one day, takes the pressure off. Also staying relaxed apparently helps more than we think.
My doctor explained the fertile window is the few days before and on ovulation, so tracking that really helps. She also said folic acid before conceiving, healthy weight and cutting smoking/alcohol for both partners makes a real difference.
Just one gentle thing, if its been over a year (or 6 months if you are past 35) without luck, please get a basic checkup for both of you. Early help saved us a lot of heartache.
