My MIL keeps saying kesar milk is must in pregnancy, supposedly baccha fair hota hai and all. I'm in my 5th month and want to start but no idea about the right way. Like how many strands, hot ya cold milk, kab pina hai? Anyone who actually does this pls tell.
My hospital had a dedicated dietician, I asked her for exact instructions. She said to take 2-3 strands, soak them in 2 spoons of warm milk for some time, and then mix with the rest of the milk. It's always best to ask your doctor or the hospital staff directly, they give the most accurate info.
Please be very careful with everything during pregnancy. For saffron, just a few strands are enough. I always soaked them in a little warm milk first for 10-15 mins before adding to the main glass of milk. Do check with your gynac once, just to be sure about the quantity.
Aww, you're doing such a good job thinking about these things for your baby. I used to just crush 2-3 strands lightly, soak them in a tiny bit of warm milk for maybe 5-10 minutes, then mix it into a full glass of warm milk. It’s a lovely way to feel connected to your pregnancy journey.
Honestly, don't stress too much about it! Just take 2-3 little strands of kesar, put them in warm milk and let it sit for 10-15 minutes so the colour and flavour come out. Then just drink it! Simple as that, no need to overthink it, yaar.
Oh, I'm also wondering about this! My MIL told me to crush it first, but my friend just puts the strands directly. Does crushing make it absorb better? I usually just soak 3-4 strands in a little warm milk for 5 mins then add to my full glass. What do others do?
I used to put 4-5 strands in a small bowl of milk and let it sit overnight in the fridge. The next morning, I'd mix it into my warm milk and drink it. It gives a nice colour and taste. My delivery was normal and healthy, so it seemed to work well for me!
