Im 38 weeks now and there is still no sign of labour, kabhi kabhi thoda tension ho jata hai. People at home keep saying do this do that to help things start naturally. Just wanted to understand how this whole process actually works before my next checkup.
Is it safe to try things at home to open the cervix? I am in my second trimester and a bit scared about how labor naturally progresses. Do we really need to do anything or does it happen on its own?
I remember doing squats and walking towards the end, but honestly, the cervix opens when the baby is ready. Don't stress, your gynac will check your dilation during regular checkups.
Cervix opening or dilation happens naturally when your body is ready for labor. Don't try any unsafe home remedies to force it, just consult your doctor who will guide you safely.
Actually, in my 39th week, my gynac checked my dilation. I just did simple pelvic stretching and walking that my doctor permitted, and labor started naturally. Pls don't try self-induction methods.
I heard that squats or light walking helps during the last weeks, but it's always best to ask the doctor. We should not try anything risky without medical advice.
