3rd trimester chal raha hai and my belly and legs itch so bad esp at night, i cant even sleep properly. its driving me mad yaar. how did u all manage this? need some relief.
When I was at my mum's place, my mother used to massage my belly with mustard oil or heavy moisturizer to stop the stretching itch. It was so comforting, but she also made sure I mentioned it to my gynac at my next checkup.
I am in my 5th month and my belly has started itching so much lately, is anyone else feeling this too? I use heavy body butter but it only helps for an hour. Is this normal or should I call my doctor?
Listen, minor stretching itching is normal, just use a good fragrance-free moisturizer or coconut oil. But don't sit on it if the itching is crazy, especially at night on your hands and feet. Go straight to your gynac, it could be a liver thing.
Oh dear, I totally understand how frustrating and uncomfortable this itching can be! If it's mild skin stretching, try applying cool virgin coconut oil or aloe vera gel. But please check with your doctor if it is severe, we want you to be completely safe.
Oh god, that belly itch is something I will never forget, it is so real! Just keep your skin super hydrated with oils. You are doing great, mama, this phase will pass soon so stay strong.
Honestly, I had really bad itching on my legs and my doctor suggested a specific lotion which worked wonders. I won't suggest any remedies because itching can sometimes be due to liver issues in pregnancy, so better ask your gynac once.
In our house, Amma told me to apply warm coconut oil with a pinch of camphor for dry skin itching. But if your palms and soles are itching a lot, please tell your doctor immediately. They will do a simple blood test just to be safe.
