9 weeks here and the vomiting is just not stopping, har cheez ki smell makes me sick. cant even keep water down some mornings. what worked for you guys to handle this?
Oh dear, is it really that bad? I am planning to conceive soon and hearing about vomiting makes me so nervous. Do ginger candies really work for everyone or should I ask a doc beforehand?
Carry dry crackers or glucose biscuits in your bag always and eat one before even getting out of bed. Sucking on a lemon slice helps instantly when you're in office. But if it's too severe, ask your doc for safe pregnancy-safe tablets.
Currently in my 3rd trimester and let me tell u, the dry ginger candies were my only best friend. Just hang in there, this phase will pass soon and then you'll only crave heavy food! If u cant keep water down, please call your gynac.
I think our babies just love testing our patience from day one! Try sniffing fresh lemon or mint, it works like magic to stop that yucky feeling. Otherwise, just blame the hormones and take a long nap!
Haha, I used to vomit even after smelling my husband's perfume, it was that bad! Honestly, don't force yourself to eat heavy meals, just go for small sips of coconut water. If you are vomiting non-stop, check with your gynac, don't suffer silently.
Listen, mild nausea is very normal but don't let dehydration happen. Drink lemonade or buttermilk throughout the day in small quantities. If the vomiting is very frequent and you feel dizzy, please contact your doctor immediately.
Maa used to give me warm ginger tea in the morning and it really calmed my stomach. Ghar ka simple khana like khichdi or dahi rice is best when nothing else stays in. Take rest and let your family pamper you right now.
