How to overcome vomiting sensation during pregnancy?
This nausea is killing me yaar, almost whole day i feel like throwing up and cant eat properly. Im in 8th week. What helped you all to manage this feeling? pls share something that works.
Uff, I am almost at the finish line now, but my first trimester was sponsored by my bathroom toilet! Honestly, sour things like amla candy or lemon water were my absolute savior. Keep chewing on small things so your stomach is never empty, because an empty stomach is a nausea trap!
My gynac told me to avoid drinking water right after meals, as it can trigger the vomiting reflex. Instead, sip water slowly between your meals. Eating cold things like curd rice or cucumber slices also helped me a lot during my early pregnancy months.
Skip the heavy oil-laden breakfasts and switch to small, bland meals throughout the day. Sniffing fresh lemon or having ginger-infused water works wonders for nausea. If it gets too intense, just ask your doctor to prescribe a safe pregnancy-safe antiemetic instead of suffering.
With two babies, my morning sickness was double the fun! I survived on iced lemonade and fennel seeds (saunf) which are great for digestion. If you feel like a vomiting machine, just take it easy, divide your meals into six tiny portions, and let your body rest.
Haan, nausea is very common in the first few months. Try to keep some Marie biscuits or rusks by your bedside and eat one before you even stand up in the morning. Having ginger tea or sucking on a small piece of ginger can also settle your stomach nicely.
Please be very gentle with yourself, morning sickness can be exhausting. Having a small piece of dry toast before getting out of bed can help. But if you are vomiting heavily and can't keep any water down, please contact your gynac immediately to avoid dehydration.
