How to prepare breast for breastfeeding during pregnancy?
Im 7 months now and starting to think ahead about feeding the baby. Heard from some aunties that you should prepare your breasts beforehand but i have no idea what that even means. First time mom here, totally clueless. Did any of u do something during pregnancy itself?
Honestly, by my third trimester, my breasts felt like they were doing their own thing already! You don't actually need to 'prepare' them much, they know what to do. Maybe just wear comfortable bras and keep them moisturized if they get dry. Don't listen to anyone who tells you to scrub them vigorously, that's old advice and not good for you!
Preparing for breastfeeding can feel like another big step after all the journey. My gynac reassured me that breasts naturally prepare during pregnancy. Gentle massages and keeping them moisturized with a safe lotion can help with any discomfort, but no harsh scrubbing or special exercises are needed. Trust your body, it's amazing.
Actually, your breasts start preparing for breastfeeding from early pregnancy itself, so you don't need to do any drastic 'preparations'. Just focus on general hygiene, wear supportive bras, and keep the skin moisturized if it feels dry. Avoid harsh scrubbing or nipple pulling, as that's often unnecessary and can sometimes even cause discomfort or contractions. The main preparation is learning about latch and positioning post-delivery!
I'm still planning for pregnancy, but this question is so helpful! I always wondered if there were special exercises or creams needed. It's good to know that the body does it naturally and just being gentle is enough. I'll remember this for later.
Haha, prepare them? Mere breasts toh apne aap hi military training pe chale gaye the during pregnancy! 😂 Kidding aside, honestly, your body does most of the prep work naturally. Just wear comfy bras, keep them clean, and maybe a little coconut oil if they get dry. No need for anything fancy, darling.
