How to prepare breast for feeding during pregnancy?
Im 7 months now and thinking ahead about feeding once baby comes. Heard from a friend that u should prepare the breast beforehand but matlab how exactly? FTM here so no clue. Pls share ur experience mommies.
This is a good question. I had thyroid issues during my pregnancy, so for me, any kind of 'preparation' had to be discussed with my gynac. It's always best to ask your doctor what they recommend, especially since every body is different. Don't self-prescribe anything.
Actually, for most women, you don't really *need* to do much explicit 'preparation'. Your body prepares itself. The main thing is to ensure you have a good latch once the baby arrives. Maybe research some latching positions and watch videos. But no harsh scrubbing or pulling, pls.
Omg, I was just thinking about this! My MIL keeps telling me to do all these things with my nipples but it sounds kinda painful? Is it really necessary? I'm due in a couple months.
My grandma used to say apply coconut oil on breasts to make them soft and ready for feeding. But honestly, I just kept them clean and consulted my doctor. They usually advise what's best for you and baby. Just relax, your body knows what to do.
