Iron supplements plus good food is the combo. Palak, methi, dates, dry fruits all helped me. Get your Hb checked regularly so you catch it early. I kept mine up both times this way.
We were always given ragi, greens and jaggery for blood, my mother insisted. Along with the doctor's iron tablet it worked well for me. Do your blood tests on time and you'll be fine.
Take your iron tablets the doctor gives, dont skip them. Eat iron rich food like green leafy veg, dates, jaggery, beetroot, and have vitamin C like lemon or amla with it because it helps absorb iron. My doctor also said dont take tea/coffee right after meals, it blocks iron.
Beta, soaked dates and a little jaggery daily is good for blood, we always used these. Also drumstick leaves are great. But keep taking the iron the doctor gives, dont rely only on home things.
You dont need expensive stuff for this. Cheap and effective, palak, beetroot, jaggery, dates, with some lemon for absorption. Plus the free iron tablets from the doctor. Kept my levels good without spending much.
