My cousin had a clotting issue in her last pregnancy and now im a bit scared since im 6 months along and sitting most of the day. Just want to know what small things i can do to stay safe na. Any tips would help.
My gynac allowed me daily short walks and gentle stretching, which keeps blood flowing. I avoided crossing legs for long and wore comfy shoes. Always good to get the okay from ur doctor before any routine though.
Sitting at a desk all day isnt great. I made it a point to get up every hour, walk a bit, and stay hydrated. Simple things but they help with circulation. If ur job is very sitting heavy, definitely mention it to ur doctor.
Staying active with light walking, drinking enough water and not sitting in one position too long all help. Some women with risk factors get prescribed something by their doctor. Dont start anything on ur own, get assessed first.
I had a clotting issue in my pregnancy and was put on monitoring. Please dont take this lightly, if u have any family history or swelling and pain in one leg, tell ur gynac right away. They may suggest tests or precautions specific to u.
