this has become such a daily struggle for me yaar, third trimester and its so uncomfortable. drinking water but still not much relief. what small things helped you all? please share.
I literally tracked my water intake on my app coz I'd forget to drink enough, and that alone fixed half my constipation. Added prunes/dried plums and more veggies too. Small consistent habits worked better than any one big remedy for me.
Ugh constipation in pregnancy is the worst, I had it bad. What helped me was lots of water, soaked raisins in the morning, and adding more fibre like fruits and salads. The iron tablets make it worse honestly so I told my doc and she adjusted things a bit. Drink waterr like crazy.
Beta in olden days we'd soak a few munakka (raisins) overnight and eat in morning, and have warm water. Papaya in small amount also helps but ask ur doctor about that. And walk a little after meals, it really gets things moving.
Movement helped me the most. A short walk after dinner, plenty of water and fibre rich food. My doc had cleared me for gentle walking so I did that daily. If walking is okayed for u, it really helps the digestion along.
Water, fibre and a little walking are the safe go to things. Just dont buy any laxative or churan off the shelf without asking, some arent safe in pregnancy. If its really bad for many days, ur gynac can give u a safe stool softener.
Yaar same problem I had. Actually what worked was warm water first thing in morning, oats and lots of fruits, and not sitting too long. Also dont ignore the urge na, go when u feel it. If it gets really stuck for days tell ur doc, dont take any laxative on ur own.
