How to prevent dark spots on face during pregnancy?
My face has started getting these dark patches, mostly cheeks pe. Second trimester chal raha hai aur skin looks so uneven now. Anything that actually helps? pls share ur tips.
Honestly, I was so busy throwing up during my first few months that I didn't even notice the dark spots on my face! Later, I started applying simple aloe vera gel and used a gentle physical sunscreen. Don't worry, it usually gets much better after the baby is born.
It can be thoda annoying to see these spots, but they are very common and harmless. Just apply some fresh cucumber juice to soothe your skin. It will get better with time, dear, don't worry too much.
These dark spots are called melasma or pregnancy mask, and they are mostly due to hormones. I just wore a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and wore a big hat whenever I went out in the sun. It mostly faded away on its own after my delivery, so stay positive!
Please do not use any chemical peeling agents or retinol creams without asking your gynac first. Many skin care ingredients are not safe during pregnancy. Stick to a simple doctor-approved sunscreen and let your doctor suggest safe creams.
I don't know much about skin treatments, but I can share what worked for me. I just used a simple gram flour (besan) and curd paste twice a week to keep my skin clean, and avoided direct sunlight. For any medicated creams, please ask your doctor first.
Oh my god, same here! I am in my second trimester and starting to see dark patches on my cheeks. Is anyone using any safe pregnancy-safe serums, or should I just stick to home remedies like raw milk?
I am planning to conceive soon and I've heard so much about these dark spots. Is there a way we can start using sunscreen early to prevent them, or does it only happen once you get pregnant? This is so helpful to know!
