How to prevent food allergies in babies during pregnancy?
I'm 5 months along and my sister's kid has so many food allergies, peanuts and all. Now im scared mine will get it too. Is there anything i should eat or avoid right now so baby doesnt develop allergies later? curious what others did.
Both my pregnancies I ate normal home food, all dals, eggs, everything. Neither kid has allergies. Honestly its mostly genetic, dont stress about controlling it from your plate.
Eat fresh seasonal stuff, less packaged food, thats what helped me feel good atleast. For actual allergy prevention I dont think ghar pe tips do much, your doctor will guide better.
Since I had to watch my food anyway, I asked my doctor exactly this. She said avoiding things doesnt prevent baby allergies, only eat clean and varied. Maybe ask yours to be sure.
My gynac actually told me there is no proven way to stop allergies completely. She said dont avoid foods like eggs, peanuts, dairy unless I myself am allergic, because cutting them out doesnt help and just makes my diet weak. Balanced eating was her main advice.
I read a lot on this when I was expecting. The current thinking is variety is better than avoidance. But every pregnancy is different so just confirm your own diet plan with your gynac na.
