My mom had BP issues in her pregnancy so im a little worried it might run in family. Im 4 months now. Anything i can do from now to keep it in check? Will discuss with gynac too.
Yaar, pregnancy stress can really shoot up your BP, actually my gynac told me to completely cut down on pickles and papads. Try to do some mild walks and stay calm. But please keep a BP monitor at home and consult your doctor immediately if it goes high.
Beta, keep your mind calm, drink coconut water, and avoid eating too much salty or fried food. You can also have a little garlic in your meals as it is known to help, but don't do any self-treatment. Always keep your doctor informed and follow their advice strictly.
With a baby who thinks 3 AM is playtime, my BP should be through the roof! Honestly, reducing salt, avoiding stress, and getting whatever sleep you can helps a lot. But make sure your doctor monitors it regularly because high BP during pregnancy is no joke.
In my 3rd trimester, my biggest achievement is just moving from the bed to the sofa without huffing! To keep my BP in check, I just avoid salty chips, drink lots of water, and try to rest. But seriously, keep checking your BP at home and tell your gynac if it spikes.
Don't skip your regular check-ups because monitoring BP and taking basic urine tests is crucial and quite affordable at local clinics. Eat simple homemade food with less salt and walk daily. Doing this is much cheaper than dealing with sudden hospital admission expenses due to high BP!
