These dark patches are slowly coming on my cheeks and forehead yaar, my gynac said its normal in pregnancy but I want to stop it from getting worse. Anyone found something that actually helps?
It's good to think about these things. Melasma is often hormonal. Just try to eat healthy, stay hydrated, and use good quality mild products. For anything you want to apply topically, it's always best to check with your gynac first, just to be absolutely sure it's safe for the baby. Taking care of yourself is most important.
Melasma is very common, haan. For me, it was mostly hormonal and eventually faded a lot after I stopped breastfeeding. During pregnancy, focus on staying hydrated, eating well, and protecting your skin from the sun. Your body is doing so much; give it time. It's temporary for most of us.
Honestly, I had it quite a bit during my pregnancy. It bothered me then, but looking back, it's such a small part of the journey. Just be diligent with your sunscreen and enjoy this time. For most women, it fades away completely or significantly after delivery. Don't let it stress you out too much!
Haha, the 'mask of pregnancy' is real for many of us! 😄 Don't stress too much. Just be diligent with your sunscreen application and stay out of direct harsh sun when possible. It usually fades post-delivery, so don't worry too much! You're glowing anyway! ✨
Oh, I'm also worried about that, I'm trying to conceive... I read somewhere that gentle skincare and a healthy diet might help. And being careful in the sun, of course. I hope we both can manage to keep our skin clear. 😊
Melasma, that's tricky because hormones play a big role. My doc friend always says, the best thing is strict sun protection. Use a good broad-spectrum sunscreen, SPF 30+ daily, even indoors. And wear a wide-brimmed hat when you're out. Prevention is key here, honestly.
