Heard from so many women that piles is a big problem during pregnancy and after delivery. Im 24 weeks and want to avoid it if i can. Any tips that worked for u all?
My gynac explained the growing uterus puts pressure down there so piles are common. She advised high fibre diet, plenty of water, not sitting too long and not straining in the toilet. She gave me a pregnancy safe ointment when it flared up.
Haan this is so common na, almost everyone gets it a little. I kept my diet light and had isabgol only after my doctor said okay. Warm water sitz baths also gave me relief.
Beta constipation is the main cause, so keep your stomach soft. Soaked raisins in the morning and warm water helped in our house. But if there is bleeding or lot of pain, do not delay, show the doctor.
Please be careful with this, mine became quite bad and I ignored it too long. If you see bleeding or feel a lump that hurts a lot, go to your doctor without waiting. They can give safe treatment for pregnancy.
I had this problem in my last trimester and it was so uncomfortable. What helped me was drinking lots of water and eating fibre like fruits and salads. My doctor also gave a safe cream, so please dont self medicate, just ask your gynac.
Sitting all day at work made mine worse honestly. I started getting up and walking every hour and added oats and fruits to my diet. Small changes but it really reduced the problem.
