My husband has started complaining that i snore loudly now, which i never used to before pregnancy. im in third trimester. its kind of embarrassing honestly. anyone found a way to reduce it?
I brought this up with my gynac because it got loud. She said its usually just congestion and weight, and to sleep on the side and stay hydrated. But she did say if you snore loudly AND feel super tired or gasp at night, mention it, because it can sometimes link to bp issues.
Snoring in pregnancy is super common, its the extra blood flow and swelling in nasal passages. Sleeping on your side with your head slightly raised really helped me. A nasal strip is harmless too if it bugs you.
Haha my husband started recording me snoring like a truck, was so embarrassing. Apparently its a real pregnancy thing, blame the hormones. Side sleeping with an extra pillow under the head fixed it mostly, give it a try.
My pregnancy app actually had a tip on this. Keep the room humidified, prop your head up with a wedge pillow and avoid sleeping flat on the back. Worked for me. Staying off heavy meals before bed also helped.
