How to prevent urinary tract infection during pregnancy?
I had a UTI in my first trimester and it was so uncomfortable, really dont want it again. Now in my second tri and trying to be careful. Any tips on what helps keep these away during pregnancy?
I got a UTI in my second trimester and it needed treatment because they dont want it spreading to the kidneys when you're pregnant. So please, the moment you feel burning, frequent urge or any fever, see your gynac for a urine test. Prevention is lots of water and good hygiene, but treat early if it happens.
Staying hydrated really is the simplest prevention. My mother kept reminding me to keep drinking water and pass urine often. Cleanliness and not holding it. But any burning sensation, get the urine checked with your doctor, dont delay in pregnancy.
Drink loads of water, dont hold your pee, and always go after sex. Wipe front to back. UTIs are common in pregnancy so these basics really matter. And if you ever feel burning or fever, dont sit on it, get a urine test done because untreated UTI in pregnancy is not good.
Beta plenty of water and never hold the urine, that's the main thing. Keep yourself clean and dry down there. For small comfort water is enough but if there is burning or fever then straight to doctor, dont try home cures for that.
Working women tend to hold pee because of meetings, dont do that, it's a big cause. Keep a water bottle at your desk and finish it through the day. Bathroom breaks over a UTI any day. And test quickly if symptoms show up.
