How to produce milk from breast without pregnancy?

We are in the process of adopting a baby and im really hoping i can breastfeed once the little one comes home. Heard its possible to bring in milk even without being pregnant. Has anyone here actually done this? Would love to hear how it went.

Milk production usually needs the right hormones, which mostly come with pregnancy, so it doesnt just happen on its own normally. If u are seeing discharge without pregnancy, that should be checked by a doctor as it can be a hormone thing. Please dont try home tricks for this, get it looked at.

If there is any milk or discharge without pregnancy, please see a gynac, it can mean a hormonal issue that needs checking. I wouldnt experiment with anything at home. A simple test will tell what's going on.
