Got my scan report yesterday and its full of abbreviations and numbers i dont understand at all. My next gynac appointment is only after a week and i cant stop staring at it. Can someone explain how to make sense of these terms?
The report usually shows things like gestational age, baby heartbeat, CRL or BPD measurements, and placenta and fluid levels. My doctor walked me through each line during the visit. Honestly its best to let the gynac explain it rather than decode it alone.
Actually the report is meant for the doctor to interpret, not really for us. The key things you can look at are heartbeat present and growth matching dates. Beyond that, let your gynac read it for you.
I used to google every word on my report and scare myself silly, dont do that yaar. Most short forms just mean normal measurements. Ask your doctor to explain, it saves so much late night worry.
