Im in my last few weeks now and already thinking about how to bounce back, my body feels so worn out. Want to be ready mentally for the recovery part. Mommies who delivered already, what helped u heal faster?
After my c section recovery was slower, so be gentle with urself. I avoided lifting anything heavy, kept the incision clean, and walked little by little once doctor allowed. Ask for help at home, dont be a hero.
Eat well, sleep whenever u can, and dont skip ur postnatal checkup. Pelvic floor and gentle movement once doc clears u. Accept help freely. Recovery is real work, give urself a few months not a few days.
I had a normal delivery and even then i needed proper rest. Light food, lots of fluids, short walks, and not overdoing chores helped me bounce back. Everyone heals at their own pace, dont compare.
Physical recovery aside, please take care of your mind too. The emotions hit me hard and i wish someone told me thats normal. Rest, eat, accept help, and talk to someone if you feel low. Be kind to urself.
I delivered recently so this is fresh, rest is the biggest thing, sleep when baby sleeps even if the house is messy. Eat warm nourishing food, hydrate a lot especially if feeding. Dont rush to feel normal, it takes weeks and thats okay.
At home we follow the rest and warm food tradition for the first weeks and honestly it helped me heal. Oil massage felt soothing once i was ready. Just do what feels comfortable and follow ur doctor for any concerns.
