How to reduce alkaline phosphatase during pregnancy?
Hi everyone, I recently got my blood reports and my alkaline phosphatase levels are a bit high. I am in my second trimester, so I was wondering if there are any natural ways to help reduce it?
Oh god, I also got so anxious and started googling like crazy when my report came! Honestly, it is usually just the placenta growing, but please check with your gynac to make sure your liver enzymes are normal. Also, if u feel any severe itching on your hands or feet, tell your doc immediately just to be safe.
Honestly, there is no direct home remedy to just lower this level on your own. It naturally goes up in the second or third trimester, so don't stress. Just eat clean, stay hydrated, and share the report with your doctor on your next visit to be sure.
Actually, it is very common for this level to rise, especially as you reach the third trimester. I had this too before my normal delivery and my doc said it's totally fine. Just eat light ghar ka khaana, drink water, and let your gynac take a look at the report.
During my pregnancy, my reports also showed high alkaline phosphatase and I got super scared. But my gynac explained it’s completely normal because the placenta is growing. Just focus on a balanced diet and resting well, your body is doing amazing work.
Beta, during pregnancy many things change in the body, so don't panic. Avoid very oily and heavy food so your liver stays happy and clean. Keep drinking fresh coconut water and eat simple meals, but do show the blood report to your doctor once.
