At my first visit the doc said my bmi is on the higher side and i should be careful with weight gain. now im worried i will gain too much. how can i manage this safely without harming baby? any tips from u all?
Pregnancy is not the time to actively lose weight, the focus is healthy not less. My doctor cleared me for gentle walks and light prenatal yoga only. Better to manage healthy eating than chase a BMI number now.
I have PCOS so I was worried about weight too, but my gynac said dont try to reduce during pregnancy, just eat balanced and avoid extra sugar. She guided me on portions personally. Please dont diet on your own na, talk to your doctor.
Honestly you shouldnt aim to drop BMI while pregnant, only avoid unhealthy excess gain. Eat home cooked balanced meals and stay lightly active if doctor allows. Let your gynac set the right target for you.
