My bp was a little high at my last checkup and the doctor has asked me to monitor it closely. Im 30 weeks and trying not to panic. Apart from the medicines, are there things like diet or rest that helped any of u keep it in control?
My doc said cut down salt, manage stress, rest on your left side and stay hydrated. But she also said BP issues can mean preeclampsia, so it must be monitored medically. Please dont skip your BP checkups, it's important for you and baby.
I always kept up with my regular checkups because of my thyroid, and they checked BP every visit too. If yours is high, the doctor needs to track it closely. Home tips help but follow up is key, dont skip appointments.
High BP in pregnancy is serious, please dont try to manage it alone. I had raised BP and it needed close monitoring and medication from my doctor. Reduce salt, rest, but most importantly keep your gynac informed and go for regular checks.
