Im 12 weeks and have had this annoying dry cough for almost a week now. I dont want to take any syrup without asking my doc so trying to manage with home stuff. What natural things worked for u all?
Coughing on top of nausea is the worst, I feel you. Warm soups and sipping warm water through the day helped me keep it manageable. Stay hydrated and rest, and if it's not improving get it checked rather than suffering.
My mother made me warm rasam and turmeric milk which felt very soothing for the throat. Steam was my go to as well. But she also said if it doesn't settle, go to the doctor, and I trusted that balance.
I leaned on simple things, warm fluids, honey in warm water, gargling with salt water and lots of rest. These eased my throat a lot. But anything like fever, breathing trouble or cough not settling in a week, please go to your gynac, don't just stick to home remedies.
Beta warm water with a little honey and tulsi helped me in my time, take it slowly through the day. Steam inhalation also soothes the throat. But if the cough stays many days or comes with fever, don't keep trying home things, show the doctor.
Please don't pick up any cough syrup from the chemist on your own, that's my main advice. Home things like steam and warm liquids are fine for a mild cough. But if it's persistent or with fever, see your doctor and let them decide the medicine.
