My face has started looking puffy and swollen, especially in the mornings. It's making me feel a bit self-conscious. What can I do to reduce face swelling during pregnancy?
Light walking for 30 minutes daily really helped me with overall blood circulation and reduced facial puffiness. But only start physical activity if your doctor has allowed it. Keep hydrated too!
Please be careful. Face swelling can sometimes be due to sudden blood pressure changes or preeclampsia, which happened in my case. I highly recommend visiting your doctor to check your BP immediately.
I literally woke up looking like a puffy panda in my third trimester! Just splashing ice-cold water on my face in the morning helped a bit. Also, stop looking in the mirror too closely, it's temporary!
Drink lots of water to fight water retention! 💧 Sometimes cucumber slices on eyes and a light face massage really helps. Keep smiling, you look beautiful anyway! 😊
Mild swelling can be normal, but sudden face or hand puffiness needs a doctor's attention. Please check with your gynac once to rule out any high blood pressure issues. Safety first, always.
With my PCOS history, I was always extra careful about any hormonal or fluid changes. Try to reduce sodium and sleep on your left side to improve blood flow. If it increases, check with your doctor.
Please don't take any risk with sudden bodily changes. Face swelling can sometimes indicate blood pressure issues which need immediate care. Just let your gynac know so they can guide you safely.
My face swelled up heavily towards the end of pregnancy. Gentle massage with a cool roller and drinking lots of water helped me flush out toxins. It totally went away a few days after delivery.
Limit your salt intake and stop sitting under direct hot sun. If the puffiness is too sudden, don't ignore it and get your blood pressure checked by your doctor. No experiments with face products now.
My mother used to give me warm water to drink and advised me to sleep with head slightly elevated. But we also regularly monitored my blood pressure with our family doctor. Please consult your doctor if it feels too heavy.
